Notes from Wakatipu.

(From Our Own Correspondent.) Arrow, February 3.— The season has been a good one for eluicers and crushers, the water supply being considerably above the average for the season of the year. In the Premier mine 20 heads of stampers are kept going, and all hands are breaking out quartz. In the Phoenix mine (now Achilles) some good stone is being raised, showing that the lode maintains its character for richness as it goes down. The Speculation Company (J. Barren and party) are engaged in prospecting their ground by shafts, but owing to the wet weather they are not making much headway at present.
