The Ngapara School Site. TO THE EDITOR.

Sir,— l see " The Boy " has another letter on this subject in your issue of the. 2nd.

" The Boy " has evidently misunderstood my action in the matter. I never pretended to be satisfied with the present site, which, although much preferable to the proposed swamp site, is unsuitable for the school requirements, being too close to the bank and too small in area.

Seeing that the school when once moved must be a fixture for years, I am anxious that it should be moved to the best site in Ngapara instead of to the worst, and the beat site is undoubtedly the one " The Boy " terms it my latest hobby to purchase.

"The Boy" can see the list he refers to, I have no doubt, at Ngapara, as a cbpy of it has been forwarded there by the Education Board. If " The Boy" really cannot understand the Education Board member's reference to a bath I have no doubt any of the Second Standard boys will explain it to him. In concluding, as far as I am concerned, this correspondence I beg to say that I am positive that if others and myself are successful in preventing the school being put by the swamp we shall confer a lasting benefit on the Ngapara people. And if we are unsuccessful, in a few years the Ngapara people will be agitating to have the school taken out of the flat their haste and imprudence has put it on. — I am, &c, February 2. Robert Paulin.
