SHOOTING COMPETITIONS.
The Kaitangata Rifles fired two matches for a medal presented by Mr John Hialop, Dunedin, and other prizes, the first on Saturday, January 27, and the second on February 3. Both days were very windy, but last Saturday was terribly wild, and good shooting was impossible.- The following are the five highest. The conditions were three matches, to be fired with Snider rifles, two of them to count for prizes ; 10 shots at 200 and 500 yards. Scores : FIEST COMPETITION.

A prohibition order has been granted at Foxagainst a boy of 18.
