Engineer's report,

The Engineer (Mr R. Hay) forwarded the plan and specification of the proposed bridge over the Silverstream on the Wingotui road, the estimated coat of which was £427. The contract at Mount Allen— Mathesou's to Gibson's— was progressing very slowly, and though the contract time bad expired, the work would not be finished for another month. It was agreed that the construction of a bridge over the Silverstream should stand over, Cr Sawson declaring that the residents of the district were not badly off at all.
