The final tie between Messrs H. Park and J. R. Scott for the trophy presented by tho Otago Golf Club for the member winning the club cross the largest number^ of times during the last year was played off on Thursday afternoon, and after a close game resulted in a win tor Mr Scott by three strokes, the scores being — Mr Scott (scratch) 98, and Mr Park (owe 2 strokes) 101 (99 + 2).
