The fact of two of the yearliDga bred by Mr T. Morrin having realised over lOOOga each, at the recent sale at Wellington Park, will, no doubt, cause many turfiteo to brush up their memorießjio, jGnd out the highest price paid in years past for Auckland-bred yearlings. The first big sale recorded ie New Zealand was that of Martini-Henry, but he scarcely comes within
the yearling category, as he was purchased privately when eight months' old by the late Hon , J. White for 1250g5.
