WEEKLY MARKET REPORT.
Messrs Moritzson and Hopkin, millers, grain, produce, and commission agents, Manse street, Dunedin, report (wholesale) as follows for week ending December 13, 1893 :—
Wheat : Demand quiet ; prices low. Prime milling, 2s 9d to 2s lOd j medium quality, 2s 7d to 2s Sd. Fowls' wheat, 2s 4d to 2s 7d. Oats: A small inquiry^ for local consumption ; very little doing in shipping. Prime feed and milling, Is lid; other qualities, Is lOd to Is lOJd. Potatoes : New kidneys, £10 to £12 per ton. Chaff : Prime quality, £3 12s 6d ; good to medium, £3 5s to £3. Salt Butter : We have good inquiry for prime quality at 7d p_er lb, packages Is each. Can place all consignments on arrival. The next shipment will leave here about January 5. Full particulars on application. We can supply 581b parchment-lined cases as usual. Cheese : Prime factory, 4)d ; loaf, 5d ; Akaroa, 4Jd to 4}d (a shipment just to hand). Grass Seeds : Ryegrass, 2s 6d to 3s ; machined, 3s 9d to 4s 6d ; cocksfoot, 3jd to sd. We can supply light seed for surface sowing Si6d per sack ; medium seed, 12s 6d per sack Samples and prices of clover and turnip seeds on application. Manures : Kainit or Gorman potash ."alt, £5 ; nitrate of soda, £15 per ton ; standard phosphates, £6 ss. Hams and Bacons : Roll, 6^d ; hams, Bid ; sides, 6}d. Honey, from 3Jd to 4}d.
