Christmas Tea for all Seamen in Harbour.

TO THE EDITOR.

Sir,— Doubtless there are numbers of your readers interested in seamen. Will you kindly allow me to inform them that it is our intention to giva all the seamen in harbour — including Poit Chalmers, and any seamau who may be ashore — a Christmas tea on Monday evening, December 25. This will be our twentieth, annual treat fur seamen of all nations. Friends willing to osiist will greatly oblige by letting me know as early as possible. Help in the way of ept.iblos for the tea-meeting, or small bags, with content's such as a New Testament or JJible, Saukey's hymn-bcok, Christmas card, needles, thread, buttons, and sundries ; or, if more ronvenient to some friends, 1 should be grateful for the gift of small empty bags, aud I will iind a M'oy of filling them with comforts for our sailor fiiends. These bags are always exceedingly acceptable. Should any of your readeis have any spare Bibles in any foreign language most welcome would they bo at our SailoiV Ro",t. — 1 am, &c, A. R. Fai.conlii.
