NOTES BY NET PLAY.

The Kaituna Tennis Club have been presented Jjy Messrs G. T. Young with a handsome trophy, which is to be pla> ed for in a Gentlemen's Single Handicap (on the point system).

The Hauraro is the name of a club of something like 60 members using the three tennis courts attached to the George street school. I believe they are likely to affiliate with the association.

Roslyn is likely to boast of a large club at no distant date. A good site is under offer, upon which four courts (facing north and south) can be formed at a small cost.

A team of two ladies sn,i four gentlemen from the Milton Tennis Club visited Balclutha on Friday to try conclusions with the local club, and a very enjoyable match wa3 played. The visitors led from the outset, and eventually won by 29 games. Afternoon tea was kindly supplied by the ladies of the Bralelutha Club. After the match the Milton players were entertained at dinner by the local club, and returned home well pleased with their day's outing.
