THE WYNDHAM SHOW.

The nineteenth annual show of the Mataura Agricultural and Pastoral Society was held at Wyndham to-day in favourable weather, though rain fell early in the morning. The attendance was very good, and the exhibits in some classes especially so, notably in Ayrshire cattle, roadster and hackney horses, and agricultural implements. In draught stallions Mr James Young's Bismarck took first honours, King of the Clans second, and Southern Prince third. In thoroughbreds Mr Hewitt's Kimberley was first, Don Pedro second, and Tassy third. In weightcarrying hacks Mr John Spratt obtained first prize, and Mr Thomas Ryder sscond and third. For Ayrshire bulls, over three years old, Mr Thomas R-tnkin secured first prize, Mr J J. Campbell second, and Mr J. Gait third. For yeld cow and cow in milk, Mr Gait obtained first in both classes. Other prizes for Ayrshires were pretty equally divided between Messrs Gait, Rankin, and Muir. There was an excellent display of dairy produce, and the Southland Farmers' lmplementand Engineering Company's exhibits came in for much notice and comment from agriculturists and farmers generally. Their combined graiD, turnip, and manure drills, were especially admired, and considered admirably suited for the requirements of tfcis district.
