Bald Hill Flat Notes.

(From Our, Own Correspondent.)

December. 3.— The Excelsior Party cleaned up their battery on Saturday last and obtained 51oz 2dwt of retorted gold from a small crushing of 24 tons. The mine looks as well at present as at any time during the period it has been worked. The stone opened out upon at the 70ft level gives every promise of developing into a very large shoot, the quality being also fully up to the 2oz per ton average. The battery is still crushing, and the shareholders are confident of getting another cake of 60oz or 70oz before Christmas Day.
