At a meeting of the Bowling Association held last evening it was decided to play a match, Town v. Country, on the Taieri Club's green on Saturday, 13th January. The match between the Dunedin Club and the Invercargill Clubs was left to the office-bearers to arrange.

The match Taieri v. Green Island was played at Mosgiel on the 25th ult , and resulted in a win for Green Island. The clubs were represented by the following players : —

Gkeen Island.— L. Millar, J. Alexander, R. Herbison, D. Waters (skip), 20 : R. Moreland, J. Knight, R. H. Leary, T. Smellie (skip), IS ; J. M'Donald, J. Cooke, J. It. Green, A. Brown (skip) 35 ; W. A. Fastier, A. Young, J. Millar, C. Hamson (skip), 12. Taieri.— J. S. Kennedy, A. Prentice, J. F. Leary, R- Churton (.skip), 11 ; G. Howell, sen., J. Turnbull, G. Howell, Dr Allan (skip), 15 ; J. C Smith, J. Murdoch, A. Wedderspoon, li. Hislop (skip), 14 ; J. Easton, J. Dryden, J. Mpcnce, W. Christie (skip), 22. At one stage of the game it looked as though the resutt would bo very clo»c, bal Green Island, playing steadily, drew away aw\ won an interesting game by 23 points, the final scores being :—: — Green Inland, 8b points ; Taicri, 62 points.

The Green Island Bawling Club placed a match President v. Vice-president, on Saturday, The weather was flue and the green in

fair order. The Vice-president's side won by 18 points. The following are the scores : — President. Vice-president. D. Watters(s) ... 19 J. Smellie(s) ... 31 R. 11. Lcary (s) ... 14 J. Millar (s) ... 20 33 51 Majority for Vice president's side, IS points. The interclub match Caledonian v. Dunedin was played on the Dunedin Club's green on Saturday, and after a keen and enjoyable game resulted in favour of the Dunedin Club by 11 points. The Caledonian players led from the start until near the finish, when Dunedin scored heavily. Scores :—: —
