Horses to be the bona fide property for not less than three calendar months of botia fide residents within the district of Otekaike river to Morven Hills, and Clarksfield Woolshed to the Grampian Hills (including Ben Ohau bounded by the watershed of the Waitaki and Hakateramea rivers). Horses to be bona fide troop horses, and to be ridden by members of the troop residing within the defined district, commanding officer's certificate to that effect to be produced to clerk of scales. Winner of last year's Cavalry Race to carry 101b penalty. Nomination, 10s. To start at 430 p.m. 9. Consolation Handicap, of 12aovs. For all beaten horses at the meeting, except District Hack and Cavalry Race. Distance, once round the course. Entrance, 12s.
