Carpenter.— On the 21st June 1893, at his residence, Tamlet, Wyndham, William Carpenter, of County Antrim, Ireland, beloved husband of Mary Jane Carpenter ; aged 62 years. Deeply regretted. Iriedlich.— On the 11th August, at his residence, Stuart street, afier a long and painful illness, Harris Friedlich ; aged 08 years. Deeply regretted. Ferguson.— On the Ist July, at Waterloo, Liverpool, George M. Ferguson, late of Dunedin, eldest son of Captain John Ferguson, Cunard E M.S.S. Servia ; in his nineteenth year. Gibb.— On Sunday, August 13, at the residence of his son (George Gibb, "St. Magnus," Melbourne), James Gibb, sen., father of Rev. James Gibb, First Church, Dunedin ; in his sixty-second year. (By cablegram.) Jackson.— On the 12th August-, at his residence, Great King street, John, the beloved husband of Mary Jackson ; aged 50 years. Deeply regretted. Pitchers.— On tho 6th August, at Lawrence Hospital, Tuapeka, New Zdaland, John George Pitchera (brother of R. J. Pitchers, of Roxburgh, and Mrs H. Youngman, of Dunedin). native of Cambridge, England ; aged 5) years. R.I. P.
