Bbisbanb, July.2B. ' The steamer Aramao, which arrived from Sydney to-day, reports that when between Point Danger and Point Lookout, early this morning, a terrific explosion occurred. Flames shot up through the foreoabin companion way, and tbe berths on one side were completely wrecked. Four -passengers were injured. An inspection showed that a dynamite cartridge had exploded under an unoccupied berth. There is no clue tp the author of the explosion.' The Aramac was recently stuck up at Adelaide through her crew leaving her. Only two persons were injured by the explosion on the Aramac, and their wounds are not serious. The fire was quickly extinguished. The cartridge was a large one, made of tin and canvas. Fortunately no one was sleeping in the immediate vicinity of the explosion. The bulkheads were partly thrown down. It is believed tbe dynamite , was secreted when the vessel was at Sydney, as sqmo strangers were seen to leave the vessel hurriedly there. -

July 29.

A number of ladies on the b.b. Aramac, on which a dynamite cartridge exploded, were thrown from their berths, and marvellously escaped injury. The passengers had a lively experience, and were unable to reach the deck owing to the passages being blooked with debris. The cabin furniture was smashed to pieces.
