Baillie Bigman : " Good morning, Donal. 1 hope you're well enough ; you look rather excited."
Donal (who is generally credited with having a sorew loose) : " Nae winner, Bilie. I met that rascal Jamie Broon, an' he said you an' me were alike, baith hauf daft." Baillie Bigman: "The scoundrel! If I had him here I'd teach him to be more respectful."
Donal : " But he didna get aff wit, Bilie. I bled his nose fur him."
Baillie (considerably mollified) : " And serve him right, Donal. There's a sixpence for you.", Donal ; ",Dod, man, it's an ill wind's blaws naebody quid. I don't care hoo often he Bays I'm like you if I get a saxpence every time."
