NORTH DUNEDIN V. KAIKORAI.

The return match between the North Dunedin and Kaikorai Clubs took place in the rooms of the North Dunedin Club on Saturday night. The 'visitors were captained by Sir Ga Blackwood and the North Dunedin by Mr D. A. Brodie. The players were paired by Captains Blackwood and Brodie and Messrs D. Mathieson and Cb ad wick (of North Dunedin Club). M North' Dunedin won the toss and took the Black men. From the commencement to the close ,the contest proved highlyjexciting. North Dunedin gradually drew ahead and won a hard-fought? match by 23 to 19, with 18 games drawn. Messrs Cleary and Dryden acted as umpires and Mr Rice as referee during the evening. Scores:— ' '

After the match both teams sat down to a nice supper, provided by the North Dunedin Club. Mr A. H Shelton said he was glad to see his club on the winning Eide again, and he hoped to see another match at an early date. He called for three cheers for the Kaikorai team, which were given by the North Dunedin team. MrT. Sonntagsaid that North Dunedin were too many for the Kaikorai, and, in fact, they could beat any club in New Zealand.
