AS it has come to my knowledge that statements are being circulated with reference to my Freezing Works which are not in accordance with facts, and calculated to mislead Farmers, I desire to inform Sheepgrowers generally that, even should a sale of the Ocean Beach Freeziug Works be effected, the control and management of them will remain with me as heretofore, and that the present system of NET CASH AND HIGHEST PRICE will be strictly adhered to. Farmers -who have been asked to believe pre" judicial reports to the effect that the Ocean Beach Freezing Works will be instrumental in pulling down the value of sheep, or in any possible way injurious to the welfare of farmers, I would respectfully ask to reserve judgment and decide from actual experience. To these works alone I think can be attributed the present high-level values of sheep, and the advanced prices. Farmers have had 12 years' experience of my system of doing business, and have testified their appreciation of it in numberless ways. During the two years my Freezing Works have been established, very decided advantages have resulted to Sheepgrbwers, and I would ask Farmers to judge the position from their dealings in the past, and can assure them that exactly the same methods will pertain to the future. It will certainly not be of the Ocean Beach Freezing Works they will have cause to complain. I can find an outlet for all the Fat Sheep grown in Southland, and am prepared to pay the Highest Net Cash Price for same. I again respectfully ask judgment on the merits of business transactions hitherto, and not onjany fancy concoctions of opponents which may be circulated with a view to prejudice Farmers against the above Works. J. G. WARD, Inveroargai, July 18, 1893. 27ju
