You can see any day in the streets of any qity men 'who look damaged — men, too, of good original material, who started out in life with generous aspirations. Once ib was said that they were bright, promising lads ; once they looked happily into the faces ef mothers whose daily breath was a prayer for their purity and peace. Going to the bad! The spell of evil companionship ; the willingness to j hold and use money not honestly gained ; the stealthy, seductive, plausible advance of the appetite for strong drink; the treacherous fascination' of the gambling table ; the gradual loss of interest in business and in things which build a man up; the rapid weakening of the whole body ;, a depletion of the general strength and vitality ;— the struggle for existence and the worry and toimoil of life breaks up the vital strength and hurries many a man into an untimely grave. First symptoms are numerous — headaches, nervousness, failure of appetite and indigestion, and various other signs. All are fore-runners of so aie impending serious physical complication. Recourse, had 'to a rational medicament such as Clements Tonic always removes all signs of disease, restores the action of every impaired organ, increases the appetite and aids digestion, thus ensuring a healthy organism, and granting the afflicted a new lease of life. Sceptics may scoff and doubt, but when local evidence is given it must prove the truth', no matter' how biassed a mind may bo— for instance, Mr C. J. Wilson, timekeeper, Merewether Junction, Newcastle^ New South Wales, who writes on January Is, 1893 :— " I have very much pleasure in contributing iry email testimony as to the great benefits resulting from a course of Clements Tonic. I have been a great sufferer for many years from liver complaint in one form or another. Some of the facalty treated me for rheumatism and neuralgia, but I never received any permanent benefit from them. About three years ago 1 bought a large bottle of Clements Tonic, and was surprised at the improvement I experienced from it— in fact tho symptoms from which I Buft'tsred disappeared as it by magic, and in a very short time I ftlfc quite a different man. I Lave been taking it ever since (that is as often as I can afford to get ib)— l am only sorry that I did nsfc know of its wonderful curative powers years ago. If anybody has ever benefited by taking Clements Tonic I am a living witness as to its virtues. It h»3 performed a cure where all other remedies failed. I forgot to stats above that I have taken it in conjunction with Dr Fletcher's Pills. I recommend it to my friends, and shall continue to do so. — Yours, &0., C. J. "Wilson, tiniokeeper, Merewethor Junction, Newcastle, N.S.W."
