The Wairarapa Hunt Club Steeplechase meeting took place at Tauherenikau, near Featherston, in fine weather, and there was a good attendance. The following are results :— Trial Steeplechase, of 35sovs. About two miles and a-half.-M.8., 11.3, 1 ; Spring, 10.7, 2 ; Moonlight, 10.10, 3. Dividend, £3 7s. Hack Handicap, of 20sovs. About one mile.— Twilight, 10.2, 1 ; Bangor, 10.2, 2 ; Nuts, 10.7, 3 Dividend, £11 14s. mL .. Open Steeplechase, of 65sovs. Three mile 3.— Dromedary, 10.0, 1 ; Bid-a-Wee, 11.0, 2 ; Iroquois, 10.7,3. Dividend, £5 10s. Hack Hurdles, of 2530v5. One mile and ahalf .— Nuts, 10.10, 1 ; Twilight, 10.7, 2 ; Ramatiki, 10.0,3. Dividend, £69s Hunt Club Steeplechase, of 45sovs. About three miles.— Canute, 12.0, 1 ; M.8., 11.3, 2 ; Playboy, 11.7, 3. Mr Edwin HarrisoD, of the Karori Collie Kennels, Wellington, arrived in Dunedin last week by the s.«. Wairarapa, en route for Melbourne, with his team of collies which are to compete in the big Victorian show to be held next month. These dogs would have been exhibited in Dunedin had not the date of *■ the Dunedin show clashed with that of Melbourne.
