Jordan v. Stewart.

An important match at draughts between Richard Jordan, champion of Edinburgh, and Robert Stewart, champion of Fifeshire, for a stake of £&) and the East of Scotland championship, was played in the Cooperative Hall, Randolph street, Dunfermline. These players, it will be remembered, met in the second round of the Scottish tournament, and this match was the outcome. Jordan, who lost to Stewart, at once challenged his young rival to a set contest. The match was to be 20 games, wins and draws to count. The final score was Jordan 4, Stewart 0, drawn 13.
