A meeting of the New Zealand Bowling Association held in Watson's Commercial Hotel last night was attended by Messrs G. B. Smith (president) in tbe chair, T. Moodie, E. Hogg, S. Samron, J. A. Ki.by, D. M'Pherson, W. Stott, J. Wedderspoon, T. R. Dodds, and George Capstick (hon. secretary).
The proposal of the ChristcViurch Bowling Club to withdraw from the association waa considered, and it was resolved — " That the letter be rccriv?d, but under all the circumstances this association deems it desirable that final consideraf ion be deferred until after the annual meeting of the Chustchurch Club "
Mr Dowling's letter as to the interpretation of lule 16 of tbe association was considered. It was resolved— " That the full rink may, if they choose, withdraw a man, or may allow the extra bowls to be played, but they are not compelled to do either one or the other."
