September 7. The Auckland Trotting Club's meeting was held fco-day, about 1000 being present. The following are the results :—: —

Maiden Handicap, of 30sovs. One mile and ahalf.—Peggy, Bsec, 1 ; Ladybird (scr, 2 ; Major, 20sec, 3. There were 17 starters. Won easily. Time, 4min 28sec. Dividend, 303. Flying Stakes, of 40sovs Five furlongs.— Rodney, 7.11, 1; Silkworm, 8.7,2; Salvator, 7.6, 3. Won in a canter. Time, lmin 9sec. Dividend, 365. Spring Handicap Trot, of 130 soys. Two miles and a-half — Nelly, lOsec, 1 ; Charlie, scr., 2 ; Rambuster, 35sec, 3. The winner went through when half the distance had been covered, and won easily. Little Ben, Midnight, Cpmmodoro, Tyrone, and Napier also started. Dividend, 60s. Tramway Handicap, of (JOsovs. Seven furlongs.—Robin, 6.0, 1 ; Pica, 9.0, 2 ; Lady May, 9.5, 3. Robin led, but was challenged in the straight by Pica; but won by a neck. Time, lmin 38sec. Dividend, L9 lss. Harness Handicap Trot, of 70sovs. Two miles and a-half.— Rarus, scr, 1 ; Scotchman, 53sec, 2 ; Jip, 65sec, 3. The other starters were : Kate (30sec), Commodore (45sec), Hard Times (47sec), Laddie (50sec). Rarus simply went through his horses and won as he liked. • Time, 7min. 18sec. Dividend, 16s. Handicap Hurdles. One mile and a quarter ; five flights of hurdles.— Minnie Grey, 9.7, 1 : Pica, 11.7, 2 ; Little Nannie, 9.0, 3. An exciting finish between the first and second horses. Time, 2min 29sec. Dividend, 30s. Electric Handicap Trot. One mile.— Ladybird, 15sec,l; Midnight, 17sec, 2; Charlie, 12sec, 3. Won easily. Time, 2min 50sec. Dividend, 38s. The totalisator passed through L 2053 10s, in 10s tickets.
