S.A.T. CLUB'S ANNUAL MEETING.
(From Our Own Correspondent.) Invercargiij., September 21. The weather was everything that could be desired—bright, warm, and calm. The train timetable, conveniently arranged for country visitors, helped to contribute to a good attendance, which was estimated to exceed that of previous years. Notwithstanding the fact that quite a number of cash bookmakers were competing with the totalisator, about LI2OO was put through the machine. Dividend, Ll.ss, Visitors' Stakes (flat race, open), of 30sovs; welter handicap. One mile and a-quarter. 21-Dandenong, 9.3 (Johnston) 1 102— Rangiora, 9.0 (Loughlin) 2 42-Surefoot, 8.0 (Blec) 3 36 Milord 10.(5, 66 Assyrian King 10.12, 8 Dielytva 9.7 also ran. Dividend, LI 10s. Bracelet Welter Handicap (flat race), of 2030v5. One mile and a-quarter. 10-Daystar, 10.0 JT^W r \ I 71-Maori, 10.2 (M Kellar) 2 30-Inchkeith, 11.7 (Claridge) 3 42 Justice 10.12 and 1G Surprise 10.7 also ran. Dividend, Ll4 4s, Hunt Club Cup Steeplechase Handicap (open), Of 40sovs. About three miles. 10-Tally-ho, 10.5 (M'Kay) 1 26-Aparima,ll.o 2 84-Waitangi, 10.2 (Poole) 3 13 Kangaroo 11.9, 45 Iroqnois 12.10, 2 Clifton 10.10 also ran. Iroquois fell at the double, and gave Allan a nasty shaking. A protest was lodged against Tally-ho to the effect that his rider was a professional, and had not put up the 71b penalty necessary to comply with the rules of the club. The protest was upheld, and the dividend paid on Aparhna was L 6 4s
