Friday, May 6. (Before Mr E. H. Carew, Warden.) An application by Yeung Ying and others for a tail race six chains in length on the banks of the Taieri river; half a mile below the Barewood siding, was struck out, as there wasnoappearanee of the parties. . , , Peter Murray M'Kay applied for an occupation license for 100 acres in block IV, Mount Hyde.— The application was granted for 10 years at a rental of Is per acre. . Herbert Price (for whom Mr W C. Macgregor appeared) applied for a licensed holdinK of aO acres as surveyed on section 4, block VII, Ncnthora.—Granted for 21 years. -,,. ft >c Robert Barr applied for a licensed holding of acres, section 2, block VII, and section 9, .block XI, Nenthom ; and James Garrettmade a similar application for 30 acres as surveyed in respect to section 7, block VI, Nenthom.— Both applications were granted for 21 years. Lewis Harris And two others made application for an extended claim of three acres in Styles Gully. Hindon, and also for a tail race 300 yds m length in the same place. — Granted. John Fenwick applied for an extended claim of. one acre in Styles' Gully, Hindon.— The application, which was supported by Mr Lewis Harris, was granted.— ln reply to the Warden, Mr Harris
stated that there were not more than a score of miners at Hindon. Some were now prospecting at Fraser's Gully. An application by Lewis Harris and three others for a water race 21 chains in length, in Styles' Gully, was granted for 15 years. -
