The fourth competition for prizes by the Tuapeka Rifles took place at Lawrence on Thursday and Saturday last. Ranges, 200, 300, and 500 yards • five shots at each; small inner. The following are the seven highest scorers :—

Peninsula Naval Artillery. The Peninsula Naval Artillery fired the first of three competitions for a gold medal and trophies at the range, Vauxhall, on Saturday. The conditions were :— Seven shots and a sighter (ontionnn at 200, 300,. and 500 yds. The weathlr was dul ? and a baffling wind (especially at 500 yds) made good shooting out of the question. GOVERNMENT PRIZE MEDALS. The competition for the annual Government prize medals took place on Saturday, tho 2nd inst., at the Pelichet Bay range.
