The Taranaki J.C Autumn meeting was held to-day in fine weather. The attendance was large. Results : — Handicap Hack Hurdle Race, of one mile and a-quarter.— Mr J. J. Russell's Flukem, 9.10, 5: Mr W. Hill's Prestige, 7.0, 1 ; Mr M'Kinnon's Scot Free, 8.2, 2 ; Mr J. Kennedy's St. Malo, 6.9, 3. Whisper 8.10, {Lochness 7.12, Krina 7.6, The Dreamer 7.5, Weka 7.3, and Awarua Rose 6.12 also ran. The second day's races were well attended. The weather was showery, The handicapping proved very successful, and Mr J. O. Evett, the. handioapper, was cheered. Results :—: —

Won by a short neck. Time, 2min KSJsec. Dividend, LI 11s. Autumn Handicap. One mile and a quarter.— Prestige, 8.1, 1 : Heather Bell, 6.11, 2 ; Scot Free. 8.8, 3. Also started Whisper, Krina, and St. Malo. The race was well contested. Time, 2min 12 2-ssoc. Dividend, L 3 ss. Farewell Handicap. Six furlongs. Torpedo 1, Weka 1, Fleta 3.
