Sydney, February 19. In the cricket match New South Wales Eleven and Lord Sheffield's Eleven the visitors, who

were the first to bat, have lost five wickets for 270 runs. Grace 45, Abel 48, Head (not out) 102. February 20. In the cricket match English Eleven v. New South Wales, the former scored 414 in their first innings. The local team have lost two wickets for 58 runs. February 21. In the first innings of the Englishmen Lohmann made 102. Turner secured two wickets for 98 runs, Gould three for 120, Callaway four for 92. Of the New South Wales men, Messrs Bannerman and Donnau are each not out with 27 and 17 respectively. February 22. The first innings of the New South Wales Eleven closed for 244 runs. Bannerman made 29, Clark 33, Turner 66, Gregory 45. Lohmann took three wickets for 46 runs, Grace three for 64, Aitewell two for 46. The local team followed on with their second innings, and at the close of the day's play had lost four wickets for 55 runs. Bannerman was not out with 28. February 23. The second innings of the New South Wales Eleven closed for 210 runs, leaving the visitors 40 to get to win. Bannerman made 28, Gregory (not out) 93. Lohmann secured three wickets for 48 runs, Grace two for 29, Attewell two for 38, Briggs two for 45. Lord Sheffield's team ran up the required number of runs at a cost of three wickets, winning tho match by seven wickets and 2 runs.
