WEEKLY MARKET REPORT.

Moritzson and Hopkin, millers, grain, produce, and commission agents, Manse street, Dunedin, report (wholesale) for the week ending January 13 as follows : —

Wheat : Good samples are very .scarce. Prime wheats, 5s ; other good milling sort. 1 :, 4s (M to 4s Bd. Fowls' wheat : Good whole, 4s. Prime Nelson hops, Is to Is Id per lb, and have inquiry for Australia. Onions, scarce, L 5 to L 7. Barley : Malting. 3s to 3s 3d ; milling, 2s 4tl to 2s (id; feed, 2s to 2s 3d. Pearl barley, Ll4. Oats: We quote best milling and seed, Is 8d to Is 9d ; bright plump feed range from Is 7d to Is 8d ; other sorts, Is 5d to Is 6d— all sacks extra, off trucks, and ex store. Flour: Roller, Ll3 f.o.b. Timaru; stone, Ll2 ss. Oatmeal, L 9 to LlO 10s. Bran, L 3. Sharps, L 4. Potatoes : New kidney, L3 los to L 4. Pigs : 1401b to 1601b, well fed, 2^l to 3d. We have inquiry for 50 to 100 pigs if suitable bacon sizes ; large sizes not saleable. Chaff up to L 3 5s to L 3 10s, and is very scarce. Straw (oaten and wheaten), 30s. Hay (oaten), L 3. Clover and ryegrass hay, L 3 5s to L3 los. Butter : Prime salt, 6Jd to 7d per lb. We have inquiry foT a few hunSred cases or casks, if prime ; packages extra, or returnable. Fvesh plentiful. Eggs are plentiful, aud bad. Honey, 4}d per lb. Cheese in demand ; new Akaroa coming to hand. Factory, 4id; dairy, 4d. Hams and bacon : Hams, 7d ; bacon, sd. Grass seeds : Ryegrass, 3s (3d to 5s 9d ; cocksfoot, 2}d to 3Jd per lb Wool, rabbitskins, hides, pelts, on consignment. We can supply good secondhand butter casks at 3s each ; Pond's patent boxes same price. We can supply 1000 empty fruit cases at 3s per dozen.
