Ownen and fcrainen are notified by advertisement that nomination* for the Ashburton Baciag Olub'i Spring meeting close on Saturday evening. She programme comprises stakes of the value of £5504 including the Aahburton Onp of lOOsovs, and the fee* charged to owners are very low. The meeting is to be held the week after the Ohriitohnroh meeting, and will »uit owners on their way from Ohristohurch to the Dunediu Spring meeting. A friend who lately viiited the Aihburton course tells me that the topdressing and reaowing have made it as good a coune as any in the country, and the new secretary, Mr B. Sauuderi, will no doubt have a good response to the announcement. Metsrg Mason and Boberfcs are to run thetotalisators. The Roxburgh Jookey Club's programme is advertised in tb.ii' iaiue. There are seven events, the chief of whioh it the Jookey Olub Handioap of 30sova, one mile and a-half, and the total amount of stake* is £110. Mr J.B.Flower, the secretary, calls for nominations on the 16th December.
