Wbight, Stbphknson, and Co. report as follow* :— Tho horseß offered to-d*y, with the exception of one or t* - o very nice draught geldings, were of a mixed description, aud as there had been no good horoes advertised to draw country buyers, the attendance was unusually small. For the few really good draughts offered there was a brisk demand, and of this class we sold on account of Mr. James Wright (Noith Taieri) an active four-year-old-filiy.by Souter J ••hony. tor £18 ss, and on account of Mr A. Kilgour four uebful farm horses at up to £18. We noticed a rather better demand for the cheaper classes of hacks tban has been experienced for some time past, and we have no doubt that now the summer is drawing near more bueine»s will be done in this description of horses, Next Saturday being the day on which the Hunt Club raoes will ba held, our usual weekly tale will take place on Monday, 14th inst , instead. We quote :— Firsft-ciass draughts (extra heavy). £25 to £30; good ordinary draughts (young), £18 to £22; medium draughts. £12 to £16; agad draugate, £6 to £10; good backs and harness hortes, £12 to £16; medium hacks aud harness horses, &1 to £9 ; light and inferior haoks and barness horses. £3 10* to £5.
