London, August 18. English flour during the past week has advanced 3s. The Mark Lane Express estimates that central European countries will be compelled to import potatoes equal to 8,000,000 quarters of rye. The consumption of wheat has greatly increased. The prohibition of the export o? rye from Eussia will probably be permanent. Vienna, August- 18. By the bursting of rain clouds half of the village of Kollman, . Tyrol, was destroyed, and many persons were drowned. Berlin, August 19. Germany is buying large quantities of rye in Russia before the inhibition of its export comes into operation, the date being fixed for the 20th inst. The price of cereals is falling. Constantinople, August 19. The Turkish Government are fortifying the approaches to Constantinople. Port au Prince, August 17. During the flood a bridge on which a number of people were crowded was swept away, and 80«3rowned.
