THE EUREKA QUARTZ MINING COMPANY.
The following letters have appeared in the Daily Times :—
TO THE EDITOB.
Sik,— I have noticed several letters in your columns lately from shareholders in the Eureka Company, Nenfchom, re the present unsatisfactory state of affairs. It is the fault of the contributing shareholders if they allow themselves to be bled any further by the directors, and I would suggest to them that they should take advantage of the articles of association, and compel the directors to call a meeting of shareholders to consider the advisability of winding np the company. A written requisition signed by one-fifth of the shareholders, -"d stating the object of the meeting is all th; is necessary. The directors are then bound to >11 a meeting within three weeks.
Being a paid up shareholder it Blatters little to me personally if fc.ll the uncalled capital is dragged from the contributing shareholders, but I think the Nenthorn vortex has already drawn in enough money from thb too confiding public. Should any of the Dunedin shareholders get up a requisition I shall be glad to sign it, and get one or two other signatures as well if it is forwarded to me by post. — I am, &c, Berwick, July 16. William K. Moose.
