' The weekly meetipg of the Land Board, whioh was held' on Wednetday, was attended by the Chief Commissioner (MrJ. P. Maitland), Messts H. Clark, Duncan, and W. Dallas. 1 PboißUßKr.-The Beoeiverof Land Hevenne intimated that Mr James Nevill bad now paid arrears of rent due ' by him' dp. perpetual lease section, 9. block 111. Poolbnrn district, and the board was requested to consider the question of rescinding resolution, of June 1 !? last 1 , declaring his lease, forfeited.— lt was reeolved that the resolution pasted on June 17, so far as it applied to section 9, block 111 Poolburn, be reiofad&l.'the lessee having paid up arrears of rent. FoßFmriiD im> SVbbsndbbbd ■ .Pbkpbtual LbasSs.'— Banger Hugha'n having valued improvements on certain forfeited and surrendered perpetual lease foldings', the board was requested to mend them for notification at luoh prioes as they f thought' fit.— lt was resolved that the sections be recommended for notification as follows :— Seotlon 30T block IV, eimmerburn district, at 12s "6d, with £77 valuation fpr improvements ; section, 35, same bloa'k, at 1587 with £138 12s 6d valuation for improvements'; section 11, blobK I3f , Manlototo distriqt, at 15s, With £394' 6s valuation for improvements; seotion 17,'blook'XHI, same district, at 10s per aore, with £4717s- valuation for improvements; seotion 14,' block XIII. same'diitriot, at 15s,' with £178 7s 6d valuation for improvements; section 9, block X, same distriot, at 15s per aore, with £137 valuation for improvements. Swinbubn.— Mr Patrick Hogan, whose perpetual lease— seotion 3, block V, Swinburn district— was deolared forfeited on June 17 last, »t»ted that be had beenaway from home, and had not received bis letters until now. He therefore askedthe board to give him three months' graoe.-Tbe Board decided to rescind I the resolution forfeiting the lease if arrears of rent ! were paid within one month from date. i Maniototo.— A report was received from Banger ' Hughan on ' perpetual leases, seotions 16 and 17. I block X, Manlototo distriot, held by ' Susannah I Tregonning, whose case was before the board on June 3 and was referred to the ranker for further information .-'-It was resolved that the holder of the license be informed tbat tbe board are not satisfied as to conditiontfof occupation having been oomplied with, I there being no cultivation of the land I Abbbabs of Hunt.— The coueideration of cases of deferred payment and perpetual lease selectors who were given up to Jvme 24 to pay arrears due by them was deferred for a w ek. DUNBACK.— Mr J. B. Glover, of Dunbaek, wished the board to cancel the grazing right given to B. A. Western over the mining reserve on sections 11, 12, and 13, block H, DunhMsk district, which lies in the centre of the sections held by him under pastoral license.— Referred to Banger Hughan to report. Forfeited Leases. — The Receiver of Lan d Revenue intimated that Mr Andrew MKenzie, whose perpetual leases we-e forfeited on June 17 i-'sfc, bad now paid the arrears due, and the hoard was requested to consider the qu-isti >n of rescinding tbe forfbiture.— It was resolved that the resolution pwsed on June 17, so far as it applied to the lease ia question, be re clnded. the lessee having paid up arrears of rent." Applications fob Rural Land —The following applications for leases of rural land were granted : - ' Michael O'Oonnell, seotion 49. block IV, Oatlins ; George Old, seotion 30, block XI Catlins. CIUTHA.— An application by Jouathan Richardson to transfer deferred pavm«nt license (section 19. block XIX. Clut ha districs > to James Hutton was approved, subject to the payment of arrears of instalments. Glknkknich —An application by Mary Grace Bellamy to Bub-let portion of paitoral license, section 24, block IV, Glenkenich, was approved. Dabt DISTBIOT.-Bdwfcrd Prior applied to exchange agricultural lease (section 3, block IV. Dart distriot) for deferred payment license.— The exchange was Bpproved; deferred {aymeat license to date from January 1. 1891. Applications to Capitaliss.— Applications by the following persons to capitalise on deferred payment license* were approved s— Robert Cunningham, seotionfll, block VIII, Kurow district,; James Cunningham, section 23 block Vlli, Kurow dietrlotj 1 Barnard M'Loy, section 31, block IV, Oimraerburaj Hugh M'Loy, seotion 2?, blook IV. Transfer of Pbrpktual Lbasb.— The transfer of perpetual lease section 16, block VIII, Glenkeniob, from agnes Morris to Christopher Aitken was approved.
