WAITAHDNA QUARTZ MINING COMPANY.
The mine manager of tbe above company in bis report of 23rd inst. states :— " The lode in tbe eastern drive Is now fully Bft wide, and no sign of the banging wall It shows good gold right through. The stane in the western drive contains very due gold, and is not of that quality which shows itself in blotches, bat it is my belief that it will prove valuable. On the whole the reef is looting remarkably well, and is very bard to drive. I have traced payable stone 900 ft from one side of my shaft, whioh is very satisfactory to ma. I am ready to start crashing on Monday, and the result of tbe firsb 850 or 300 tons will, I am fatly convinced, prove latisfaotory to the shareholders."
