We have received the following additional subscriptions to the Kakanui relief fund : —
Mr W. Earnshaw, M.H.R., secretary to the' Kakanui relief fund, has received the following further subscriptions :—
John Tierney attempted to replace a globe of an incandescent light which had become broken in a building in Boston, rn^, in so doing, took hold of the brass ring at the small end instead of the glass end. He r< ceived a heavy shock, vbioh killed him instantly.
