LONGRIDGE.

MARCH 16.— During the past 10 days the weather h*B been fine sud favourable or harvest work. Farmers have certainly taken full advantage of it, as the rattle of the reapers can be heard on all sides from earliest dawn until the twilight; darkens Jnto night. I notice with regret that harv- sting on Sunday is becoming much too common. There may be some excuse for outting on (Sunday when the weather has been broken for a time, but surely when cutting could be done from 12 to IS hours a day both man and beast would be the better for a rest on the day set apart for that object. Outting in most cases 'is nearly finished-in a few actually so, and stacking has been begun. Present appearances Indicate a continuance of fine weather, so we may reasonably expect soon to see the harvest safely garnered.
