Victoria Break 'O Day, and Nenthorn Consolidated Company. TO THE EDITOR.
Bib, — I observe in your report of tbe applications to the Supreme Court that a Mr Rose bna been, on the motion of Mr Hosking, h pointed liquidator of tbo Victoria, Break o' Day, and Nenthorn Consolidated Corapimibs. Permit me through your columus to dirort the attention of creditors and shareholders of these companies to the fact that this appointment is open to tbe gravest possible objection, inasmuch as it is evident that Mr Rose intends to employ — as he has done in the matter of the public battery — solicitors who also act for the Bank of New Zealand, which has the largest claim against tbe company — a claim which, there is every reason to believe, will be questioned by a majority of shareholders, and which will in all probability form tbe subject of a Supreme Court aotion. The bank's solicitors cannot consistently represent two parties whose interests conflict. — I am, &0., October 25. A Shaeeholdee.
