SALE OF CROWN LANDS.

A sale of Crown lands was held at the Land Board room on Thursday by Mr Chalmer, there being a very large attendance on the occasion. The bidding, especially for pastoral licenses and small grazing runs, was very brisk, and a great number of sections — in fact, the bulk of those previously unsold in the township of Eaitangata were disposed of. The result of the sale was as follows :— PASTORAL LICENSES. Bun No. 24 A, Clutha County, about 890 acres; term, 10 years. Upset rental, £14 16s 8d per annum. Passed in. Bun No. 37, Lake County, about 268 acres ; term, 10 years. Upset rental, £5 per annum — Thomas Macdonnell, £18 per annum. Run No. 38, Lake County, about 274 acres ; term, 10 years. Upset rental, £5 per annum.— Obas Low, £20 per annum. Section 7, blook 111, Catlin's district, about 726 aores ; term, 10 years. Upset rental, £9 It 6d per annum. — Jaue Hay, at upset.
