With a viow to encouraging the obtaining of analyses of soils, and manures therefore we have made arrangements with Mr Frank M. Allan, a practical analyst, with satisfactory Home credentials, to undertake work of this nature for constituents of the Witness at special rates. We shall place correspdndents in direct communication with Mr Allan, j and all fees will be payable to him. Samples (carriage paid) with the necessary fee, addressed to Mr Allan, care of Editor Otago Witness, will receive prompt attention.
