First prize, sliver medal (presented by Meears Munro and Forrest) ; second prize presented by a friend. Kurlwao, Waitati, or Leith streams. First competition, October 18, 1890 ; second competition, November 29, 1890. No. 4.— Mr J. Wilkie's rod (firat prize) and Mr W. Carlton's oilskin coat (second prize). 'Competition. Waihola Lake, Cup Day (in race week). No. 5. — Trophies, presented by H. P. Thomson (jeweller, Princes street), Bing, Harris, and Co., and special prize (mackintosh;, presented by Mr 'ihomaa Brown (of Brown, Swing, and Co.), for the heaviest basket by an angler who has nob previously won a prize at any competition.
