Rounding the bend Tyrant assumed command, Labyrinth filly taking second place. Entering the straight Gonsalvo was beaten, and L'Abbesse de Jouarre taking third place, began to close with the leaders, bat though in a good finish Bhe caught Labyrinth filly about 200 yds ' from home, she failed tc overhaul Tyrant, who held his own, and won in brilliant style by a length and a-half; half a length divided seoond and third.
