DUNEDIN HORSE SALEYARDS. Weekly Report.

Weight, Stephknson. and 00. report as follows :— An ununually large number of draught horses came forward for to-day's sale, and as the greater number were oountry horses buyers were present for all of them. Prices, however, were very discouraging to breeders, but as we Bee no prospect of any improvement in the demand, we do not think it would be wise for owners who have horses to sell to keep them in the expectation of valueß hardening. During the past few weeks a limited number of draughts and upstanding harness horses have been exported to Melbourne and Sydney, but the prices ruling there do not warrant shippers giving high prices here. Of the 51 horses entered to-day we sold 30. and with the exception of three upstanding harness horses from Mr Koberfc Dodds (Otama) and a few " weeds," the whole of them were draughts. For inferior hacks and light harness horspg there was no demand We sold, on account of Mr A. O. Oarapbell (Breadalbane), three broken and unbroken fillies at up to £17 10a ; on account of Mr J. Freelanu (Pigroot), nine unbroken colfcsandfilli<"B,inloweonditlou, afcup t0£13.; and on account of Mr Stewart and others draught, mares and foldings at quotations.
