AUSTRALIAN CRICKETERS.

: (Per Press Association.) London, August 12. The second test match between the Australian'cricketers and an All-England Eleven was continued to-day, and resulted in a win for the All-England team by two wickets. The following are the scores : — Australians —Second Innings.

All-England.— Second Innings.

Turner took three wikets for 38 runs, Ferris five for 49, and Oharlton none for 6. The fifth wicket added 50 runs to the score. Read played a dashing innings, and forced the game at every opportunity. He made several lucky strokes, which just fell out of the fieldsmen's reach, and was missed once. The wicket was slow and difficult. Lyons hit out pluckily for his runs, and Trotb, Burn, and Oharlton played a remarkably steady game on a treacherous pitch. There was great excitement towards the finish, when it looked as if the colonials might possibly win. The finish of the All England match was very exciting. The fielding of the Australians was poor. Murdoch missed Maurice Head, and thereby prpbably lost the match.

News has been received from Sydney by Mr Gallagher that Peter Kemp and James Stansbury will visit New Zealand on their way to America in about a fortnight. They will, if sufficient inducement offers, give exhibition raoes iv this colony.

At a meeting of the committee of the New Zealand Kennel Club it was resolved to write to the secretaries of the various dog show committees in the colony phowing the impracticability of having two Kennel Club registers in the colony, and stating the intention of the present committee, on the expiration of their term of office, to invite nominations of representatives^! the said committees as members of the executive of the New Zealaud Kennel Club.
