DUNEDIN HORSE SALEYARDS. Weekly Report.
Whisht. Stephenson, and 00. report aa followa :— The display of hones 'presented to buyers at Saturday's sale was a very miserable one; in faot, there was not it first-class horse of any desoription in the yard. The entries were made up almost exclusively of dealer*' lots, and not many of these changed hands. We are pleased to be able to state that during the week we have had several b,ona fide inquiries for really first-class heavy Clydesdale geldings (suitable for town work, atone hauling, &o.) and for auperior upstanding bay carriage horses (must be stylish, well bred, and thoroughly broken in), also for one or two pairs well-matched buggy cobs (bays or browna), and for two or three really first-class hunters. High-olasa animals of any of these descriptions, if seat in soon, will find a market and at very fair prices. We quote:— Really first-olaas heavy draught geldings, £20 to £25; medium draught horses, £12 to £18; light and aged draught horses, £7 to £10 ; good springcarters, £10 to £15 ; well-matched carriage pairs, as desoribed above, £40 to £50 ; wellmatched buggy pairs, as desoribed above, £30 to £40 ; firat-olasa hunters, as described above, £20 to £30.
