PENINSULA.

July 7.— The regular meeting of the Peninsula lload Board was held at the office of the board , Highcliff, onSaturday last., Messrs Stuart (chairman), Beattie, Murray, Beikie, Bobertson, and Somerville, being present. An application from R. Hall for some work on the road to Hooper's Inlet was ordered to be holdover. The metal breakers asked for a "rise" for, some tough metal, but the request was declined as no deduction had been made for easy metal. The offer ( of Hon. W. J. M. Larnach to convey all road lines to the board on its conveying closed lines to him. he bearing expense, was accepted. The hour of meeting of the board was altered to 1.30. Accounts amounting to £41 5s lid were passed for payment.
