(Fagan) 0 Mr A H Laldlay's Horton, 6yrs, 8.1 (Lofbhouße) 0 Betting: 15 to 8 on Tyrant, 11 to 2 agst Aperae, 100 to 12 Father Confessor, and 10 to 1 Theosophist. At the five furlongs post Aperse drew up to the girths of Tyrant, with Fathur Confessor hard ab his quarters to the Grosvenor Bridge, where Aperse hung out signals of distress. In the next couple of hundred yards Tyrant oleared Father Confessor, and although the latter came again below the distance, followed by Theosophist, the favourite was quite equal to his task, and staying on to the end, won cleverly at the finish by a length; four lengths between second and third. Time, 2min 12 4-sseo. Value of the stakes, £420.
