THE LABOUR MARKET.
Mr Skene reports under date July I.—The month just closed was very favourable for out-door work. The demand for ploughmen is improving, and it is difficult to supply dairy people fast enough. Bublimeo, grooms, gardeners, blacksmiths, lend station carpenters are moving. Couples and shepherds are quiet at this season. We are always overstocked with new chums ol the wrong sort. City-bred men are J not wanted here. Young country fellows who can " rough it" have always a chance. Wages do not change much.
