The dress to which you allude would look too stiff. A nun's veiling or oashmere would look uncommon— soft Bnd dressy, Ankik writes :— I send you a simple spider stitch pattern for a shawl which I hope will suit "Biddy":— Cast one Ix stitches for each pattern. Ist row : Over thread, knit one, over thread two together, knit one, two together. 2nd row : Purl. 3rd row: Over thread, knit three, over thread, clip one, two together, and take slipped stitch over. 4th row s Purl. sth row : Two together, kuit ono, two together, overthread, knit one, over thread. 6th row: Purl. 7th row: Slip one, two together, take >lipped stitch over, over thread, knit three, over thread. Bth row : Purl.
