London, June 17. The Australians' first innings closed for 113 runs; Blackham increased his score to 56, and Walters made 28. In their second innings the South of England team have lost eight wickets for 113 runs. Grace played a lucky innings for 35. Quaife made 15, Maurice Read 15, Branston 14, and Radcliffe 12. The fielding of the Australians was faulty. A good deal of rain fell and the wicket was very slow. Murdoch has recovered from the injury to his leg.
